Curious about how The Reconnect Project works, who it benefits, or how you can get involved? Our FAQs have all the answers!
The Reconnect Project is a social enterprise that provides young neurodivergent individuals with training in mobile phone repair, customer service, and retail operations. Our aim is to equip them with valuable skills that lead to employment and internship opportunities in the tech industry.
Donating is easy! Simply visit our donation page, fill out the form, and we’ll provide you with instructions on how to send us your device. All donated phones are either repaired for resale or responsibly recycled.
The program specifically supports neurodivergent young people by providing hands-on training in mobile phone repair and retail skills. This helps them gain valuable work experience and creates pathways to employment and internships.
Repaired phones are either sold at affordable prices through our retail partners or donated to individuals and communities in need. Any phones that cannot be repaired are recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.
The Reconnect Project is an amazing program and I have seen firsthand the impact it has had in closing the digital divide, and making the necessary technology to operate in today’s world accessible to vulnerable people.
