SLES provides tailored support, including job readiness training, work experience, and skill development, helping school leavers gain confidence and prepare for meaningful employment opportunities in their communities.

Australia’s first Mobile Device Repair Technician Training Course
At The Reconnect Project, our training program empowers neurodivergent young adults with practical skills in mobile phone repair, retail operations, and customer service. This hands-on training not only helps refurbish donated tech for distribution to those in need but also equips our trainees with valuable expertise for the workforce. Through real-world experience in our repair shop, participants gain confidence and develop critical problem-solving skills. Our program also opens doors to internships and employment pathways, providing a strong foundation for their future. By supporting The Reconnect Project, you’re helping to create meaningful opportunities for young adults while giving new life to technology that helps close the digital divide.
Our courses provides an introduction to technical repair with hands on training from industry experts as well as theory about the mobile phone, spare parts and e-waste industries. Comprising 12 sessions over 6 weeks, the course is tailored to suit neurodivergent young adults in a safe, inclusive environment.
